Hi everyone,
As most of you have heard by now, one of our competitive team dancers, Blakely McCamey, was recently diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is a rare and aggressive cancer that Blakely is getting ready to battle. She is currently looking at over a year of Chemotherapy and radiation, and that fight begins tomorrow with her first treatment.
The competition team girls helped design the shirts. Gold is the color of childhood cancers and represents the warrior. is the hashtag the girls voted on for this campaign. "Faith over Fear" represents the strong faith and strength our team has. We pray before each of our dances hits the stage at competition, and we always give thanks to Christ for giving us the strength and talent to perform. Faith has been a core strength of this team for years. We also know who to go to to give us peace and comfort when days get tough. I say "we" because we are a team and we are in this fight together. We will all fight this battle with Blakely.
This shirt fundraiser has a two-fold objective. First, obviously, to raise money for the family, as many expenses are ready to hit them in the months ahead. And secondly, to show this nearly 13-year-old lady how truly loved and supported she is with the purchase of shirts from people all over. We will ask for pictures from people wearing the shirts once arrived so she can see the amazing love for her. Blakely has access to social media, and I'm hoping for this campaign to blow up and for her to experience the support from people from across all areas and states.
You will have the choice to ship to the studio for pick up (our team girls will deliver to their hometowns for drop-offs, which will include: Alva, Kiowa, Medicine Lodge, Harper, Anthony, and Burlington), or you can pay to have it shipped straight to your address. You can also make a monetary donation as well. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO MANDY MCCAMEY.
There is a place to leave a comment once you place an order. Encouraging words are cherished and appreciated more than you know. Let's blow this campaign up and use social media to help lift this lady's spirits. She has a long road ahead, and that fight begins tomorrow with her first chemotherapy treatment on June 16th. Please pray for the days and months ahead for Blakely. Please pray for her family, please pray for her friends and teammates. And please pray for the studio and competition team girls. It affects all of us, but we are in this fight together, and we know that God is in control.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Cammi Hostetler
