MONDAY ACTION: call on Senator Jen Metzger to repeal 50-a! Info & script below.

Over the last week there have been so many calls/emails/tweets generated, so many chants & protest signs. The support and energy to & pass the rest of the is palpable throughout the state! We have built momentum but we aren't across the finish line yet - and the next few days are going to be critical. Zack Fink (NY1) has announced that the Assembly intends to return to session on Monday at noon & that 50-a may be on the docket. This Assembly reconvening is the first step towards passing legislation - so lets keep the outreach on , the Police STAT Act & the Bailey/Perry Special Prosecutor bill going.

"For a sense of scope, ANYONE living within the Kingston City School District who requests food can receive it. We deliver prepared lunch and dinner Monday - Friday, or a weekly bag of groceries. Yesterday we delivered 1,700 meals, and groceries to 85 households; and our numbers continue to grow. We are closing out week 4 of our work, and we are asking that the school district step up and funnel their resources and capacity to feeding the children of Kingston. Will you sign on to support us?"

The Coronavirus Pandemic has shined a bright light on food insecurity, and the fragility of our community. What a night at BSP Kingston on Friday! First off, Silverdome! After our souls were thoroughly rocked, we took the stage for a 3+ hour set and the following beautiful people sang with us: Pat!, Emily, Haley, K-Spot, Megan, Nancy, Ivan, J-Spot, Jeff, Lewis, Dana & Lydia, B-Spot, Kayt (Spot), Cue, Michael G, Mara, Frank, Molly and Not Anna, Big Ally (also Spot), Julie, Gabby, Joel, Vicki & Toni, Bellanora, Will, Jamie, Ian, Genev, Dany and Raya!

Thanks to all who came, danced and supported! We're back at BSP on March 28, and at The Falcon every 1st Thursday.
