I’m a storyteller and artist, and things that exist in my mind don’t always exist in the minds of ordinary people. I think this is true for most creative people. I’ve always operated with one foot in reality (as most people would define it) and the other foot somewhere else out there. The

re’s no way to prove the existence of any of it. But I believe in a world of things that can’t be proven. Closing note and credit: the idea for Acorn Folk didn't just come out of my head. There is an artist in Australia, I think, that does the most incredible little acorn people. His are different than mine, but that's what gave me the idea to try it. Tina from Tina's Place on the Square & Art Room Gallery in Kingston, AR first showed it to me and I looked around and saw the bounty of materials, and went to work.
