Natalie Colette Wood whose work is inspired by the cohabitation of natural and urban environments.

For Stay Frosty she is showing Swallowed by Nature an ongoing sculptural series in which domestic furniture (like a car seat) and architectural forms appear to be slowly overtaken by plant life, moss, and organic materials. The work explores cycles of growth, decay, care, and renewal, transforming familiar objects into living ecosystems that blur the boundary between interior space and the natural world. Through this process, the pieces suggest nature’s quiet persistence and its ability to reclaim, soften, and transform the built environment.

We did a wonderful interview on Radio Kingston on Middays with Julia with one of the artists who will be exhibiting in our upcoming exhibition, “Stay Frosty Kingston” for , with her project “Gimme Shelter”, where fiber artists join us and create handmade hats, scarves, blankets and other cozy items for folks in the community who are experiencing homelessness.

Kingston, NY — ArtPort Kingston & BravinLee Programs announce Stay Frosty Kingston, a curatorial collaboration for the second edition of the open-air art event, presented as part of Upstate Art Weekend.

Part tailgate. Part site-specific exhibition. Part trunk show. Part art fair. Stay Frosty’s first edition, presented in Fall 2025 in a Harlem parking lot with 30 participants, reimagined each vehicle as a self-contained, curated presentation—where trunks opened to sculptural creations, installations, sound, multiples, and conversation. The result was dynamic, accessible, and community-driven: art experienced beyond the confines of a conventional setting. Participants included artists, dealers, nonprofits, and independent curators.
