With great joy and reverence, TKTBI – Tibetan Center warmly invites you, your family and friends to join us in celebrating the 91st Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

His Holiness has dedicated his life to promoting compassion, peace, nonviolence, interfaith harmony and the universal values of kindness and human dignity. On this special occasion, we gather together to offer prayers for his long life and to honor his extraordinary contribution to humanity.

With deep sadness, TKTBI - Tibetan Center mourns the passing of Prof. Robert A.F. Thurman on June 16, 2026.

A renowed scholar, teacher and devoted friend of Tibetan Buddhism, Professor Thurman dedicated his life to sharing the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha's teachings with the world.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, students and all who were touched by his extraordinary life and work.

May his legacy continue to inspire generations to comes.

Today, on the sacred full moon of Saka Dawa, we celebrate the Bathing Buddha ceremony and honor the birth of Sakyamuni Buddha. Through this meaningful tradition, we reflect on purifying our minds, cultivating compassion and deepening our wisdom.
May the blessings and merit of this special day bring peace, happiness and harmony to all beings.
