This is a great opportunity to work on audition material. You can bring your favorite monologue and/or song to workshop OR just show up and get something new!

Harpeth High School will present a showcase of scene called “Beyond the Labels” on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.

Doors open at 6 p.m. each night. There will be tech design expo in the lobby and the show starts at 6:30. Performances feature musical theatre favorites from “High School Musical” and “Teen Beach” as well as a video production of It’s Our School Too, a collaboration with HHS theatre, Unified, and Audio/Visual students.

This performance represents the culmination of the many skills learned this year in theatre for both performance and technical elements. Admission is $5.

At the show, you’ll experience:

🎬 The premiere of It’s Our School Too — a powerful student film about inclusion and belonging

🎶 Musical moments from Dear Evan Hansen, High School Musical, Teen Beach Movie, & The Greatest Showman

😂 A sprinkling of student-created scenes

🎭 A modern twist on a Shakespeare favorite: Romeo & Juliet at Verona High

Every piece connects to one idea: we are all Beyond the Labels.

We’d like to interrupt your snow day with a shout out to our theatre students who represented Harpeth at the Tennessee State Thespian Conference earlier this month.

And a special congratulations to Luke Davis for receiving Mid State and All State distinction in playwriting with the Tennessee All State Theatre Event.
