Fall Fiber Festival Vendor Spotlight:

GOLDEN VIEW ALPACAS & MINI MILL, Kodak, TN

Claire and Dino Dienst own and operate Golden View Alpacas & Mini Mill, a small 1980's fiber mill located in Kodak, TN.

Claire shared: "We have a tumbler, large washer, picker, carder, wet filter, needle felter and clicker press. We will be bringing lots of fiber for you to see. We have hats, scarves, gloves, shoe inserts, yarn and roving needle felting kits and more. We will have all kinds of natural fibers including alpaca and wool for you to see. We'll have peg looms for sale, and be demonstrating weaving and spinning. So come say hi and see what we're all about."

Come see it in person at the Overmountain Weavers Guild Fall Fiber Festival this Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd, at Exchange Place in Kingport, TN. Priced at $400. Proceeds go to Exchange Place to support ongoing expenses including animal care and museum exhibits. Look for the Cotswold sales table and ask for Ann.

Meet Exchange Place's resident Cotswold sheep and tour the 1850's "living history farm" during the Overmountain Weavers Guild Fall Fiber Festival, November 1st and 2nd. Tours start at 1:30 pm each day; $5 per person.

Fall Fiber Festival Vendor Spotlight:

HANLON'S CREATIVE CORNER, Johnson City, TN

Jennifer Hanlon uses wool and a specialized needle to create unique 3D animals and characters using a process called "needle felting." You can see (and buy!) Jennifer's whimsical creations during the Overmountain Weavers Guild Fall Fiber Festival, November 1st and 2nd, at Exchange Place in Kingsport, TN. For more info please visit https://www.omwg.net.

Jennifer has partnered with the Overmountain Weavers Guild to make felted Cotswold sheep using wool harvested from the Exchange Place herd. A limited number of kits are available for those who would like to make their own!

Fall Fiber Festival Vendor Spolight:

THE CRAFTY ALPACA, Blountville, TN

Kathy Martin from Crafty Alpaca is a "Jane of all crafts," and this year's Fall Fiber Festival will showcase some of her latest interests. Homemade notebooks with fiber- related covers will be sharing a table with 100% alpaca lacy fingerless gloves, alpaca coloring books, and alpaca notecards.
