How many vacations have you talked yourself out of?

Not because you couldn’t afford them.

Not because you didn’t have vacation time.

But because planning them felt overwhelming.

Travel Advisor Confession:

Most people think the hardest part of planning a vacation is paying for it.

It’s not.

The hardest part is deciding.

Should we cruise or stay at a resort?

Is this hotel actually worth the money?

Will the kids enjoy it?

Should we go this year or wait until next year?

What if we pick the wrong place?

So people do what most of us do when we’re overwhelmed.

They put it off.

They open 17 browser tabs.
Read 43 reviews.
Ask Facebook.
Watch YouTube videos.
Save posts they’ll never look at again.

And then six months later they’re still talking about taking that trip.

The truth is, most people don’t reach out to a travel advisor because they’re ready to book.

They reach out because they’re tired of trying to figure it all out themselves.

My job isn’t just booking vacations.

It’s been a little quiet over here lately.

Not because Mac’s Travels disappeared. Life has simply been moving at full speed.

Between family, school, baton twirling competitions, and helping clients plan their vacations, the last few weeks have flown by.

But here’s what hasn’t changed:

Sometimes social media gets quiet while real life gets busy. And that’s okay.

✈️ It feels like everyone is being more careful with everything right now.

Groceries.
Gas.
Bills.
Travel.

And honestly… that makes sense.

But one thing we’ve noticed lately is this:

People still want something to look forward to.

Even if it’s:
• a shorter trip
• a long weekend
• a cruise later on
• just getting something on the calendar

Because sometimes having a break ahead of you matters more than people realize.

And no… travel doesn’t always have to mean “huge” to be meaningful 🌴
