One of our own! Congratulations Greyson!!
Greyson Hackbarth, a KHS senior, has earned an Appointment to the United States Naval Academy! Attending a United States service academy is a highly prestigious honor, offering a fully funded world-class education and a direct commission as a military officer. Each year there are about 18,000 applicants to USNA and only about 900 students are selected for this highly competitive and elite academic experience.
Greyson has a 4.2 GPA and his proud parents are Lindsey and Kyle Hackbarth. In addition to his academic effort these past 4 years, Greyson has also been involved in National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Cross Country, Track and Swim all at the varsity level. He has earned the distinction of Eagle Scout and has also played in the Symphony Orchestra (violin) for 6 years.
Greyson will attend the United States Naval Academy beginning in June. He'll study mechanical engineering and then attend pilot school in order to commission as an officer/pilot in the United States Navy! As part of the lengthy interview and selection process, he received nominations from Senator Moreno, Congressman Landsman and Vice-President JD Vance!
We applaud Greyson's hard work and drive to make his dream come true! We're truly excited for his next steps and can think of no one finer to represent the United States as a Midshipman!
Best of Luck Greyson! ❤️🩵
