Moving For Life was born when Dr. Martha Eddy, CMA, Ed.D. developed this safe and upbeat program in response to Dr. Allison Rosen's symptoms. Dr Rosen was a stage 3 metastatic breast cancer patient who approached Jan Albert, award-winning film director, to make an exercise DVD because she experienced revitalized energy when she began to move to music. Dr. Eddy used her expertise in movement science, somatic education and dance to create a program that has received media attention as a reliable and safe exercise program designed for the rehabilitation of breast cancer patients. It is among the only cancer fitness approaches that gives aerobic exercise to fantastic music a central role, supported by the research that changes in aerobic capacity aide in treatment, recovery and survivorship.
