Some homes are worth painting twice. 🏡🎨

Exactly one year ago, I had the honor of painting this home for a wonderful realtor. Fast forward a year, and she reached out asking me to paint the very same home again.

As an artist and small business owner, there’s no bigger compliment than having someone come back and trust me with another piece!

A funny little story behind this painting… 😄

After I delivered the original watercolor, my customer realized the reference photo she had sent me was actually an AI-edited image of the home. It included dormer windows that don’t exist… yet! They were part of a future dream for the house.

Once she discovered the mix-up, I repainted the entire piece using a current photo so it would reflect exactly how the home looks today.

A funny little mishap with a happy ending and a great reminder that while AI can be an amazing tool, it doesn’t always match reality. When I’m creating a custom home painting, I want every detail to be true to the home you’re preserving.

(If you happened to see the first painting I shared a few weeks ago… now you know why this one looks a little different! 😊)

This custom watercolor was created from a treasured photograph of a grandfather and his grandson sharing a quiet moment together on the water.

Every photograph tells a story, and it’s an honor to preserve those stories through watercolor. Creating keepsakes that can be treasured for generations is my favorite part of what I do.
