With us having such a fun and amazing weekend, I’d love to give a shoutout to an incredible new friend, Hayden Cash. (Cash Photography)

Even though we have some very accomplished photographers on our crew who do an outstanding job, we’ve met someone new who I’m sure will go a long way in this industry.

Thank you for helping these characters and actors see themselves the way others do, and for capturing the hard work and dedication that went into creating them.

Our Scarecrew had a blast at TransWorld's East Coast Haunters Convention! We stayed in a beautiful Victorian home built in 1860, got to visit old friends, and made plenty of new ones.

Some of us got a startle scare from a goat. Some got more sleep than others. One got smacked with a tortilla. One spent most of the weekend on the hunt for a Wawa and settled for Dunkin’. And we learned that one of us sounds like Tommy from The Wild Thornberrys when woken up early.

We laughed, we cried, we drank—we were drunk. But most of all, we had fun.

So from our dysfunctional haunt family to yours, have an incredible 2026 season. Until we meet again next year.

It’s with great sadness that one of our founders passed away today. R.I.P David Taylor.

What can I say? The loss of my friend David is a total shock! This guy was great, a humble, down-to-earth guy, and a genuine friend. He had a weird way about things sometimes, but he loved his friends to the core. David was also a lover of all things horror and Halloween, which is what caused our paths to cross. In the early 2000s, we worked together building and operating haunted attractions with our friend Jay McCurdy. Through many years of working together, we built a brotherhood between us that will always exist. We’ve fought and bickered, as brothers do, but never stopped caring about each other. We’ve also created and built amazing and terrifying haunts together. The three of us had amazing times, and there are many truly special times and memories that were made. (Oh, the stories to tell!) I’ve seen David play scary, creepy, gory, and absolutely horrific characters - the stuff nightmares are made of. But one thing is certain: in that costume was a guy with a big heart, a softie who cared for the people he loved and was a true friend. David was a perfectionist when it came to his scenes in a haunt; it was decked out with all the greatest eye candy, and all of that had its place. It was set up to maximize the scare. He enjoyed the haunt, and I think it was hard on him knowing his health was declining and wouldn’t allow him to participate - and truly, it was hard on us too. Honestly, brother, believe me when I say we missed you then, and even more now. The haunt that exists now, and any future haunt, if any, you will always be a part of. We love you, bro. Rest easy; we’ll take it from here. Charlie
