August wrap up!
It was a full month; here’s a quick recap.
1- We started the month with an awesome workshop with Marian Lyndgaard about making clay stamps.
2- Welcome to our new apprentice Addie Hiller!
3- For the third year, we opened the studio to the community for Kimball Days. It was a blast!
4-7-Rocinante firing number 12. We really loved this wood firing. It was the first time we have fired with students from our wood fire class, along with other community artists. There was a lot of fun, laughter and learning, and beautiful results.
8- Happy Birthday JD! We celebrated with multiple cakes and a visit from the grandbaby, August Winter❤️
9- Summer classes wrapped up mid-August with another successful gas firing. Great job students!
10- Production is ramping up for the Story Feast event at the Weisman Art Museum in October. We’ve also had a few exciting meetings to plan for the event. We can’t wait! Tickets for the dinner are still available on the website.
11- We finished some custom dinnerware orders this month. We are happy to get the pieces in the hands of the new owners.
12- Megan attended the reception for the exhibition The Future is Present at Bridgewater Lofts. The exhibition includes several of her vases, jars and sculptural vessels.
13- Last but not least, we wrapped up the month with the Milstream Art Festival . We love this local event and enjoyed seeing you there.
In September, we are looking forward to fall classes starting, along with another wood firing and traveling up north for the Art Along the Lake studio tour. Thanks everyone for your continued support of our studio!
