It’s going to get western in Killdeer this weekend. Our club has prepped and are definitely ready to celebrate 60 years of keeping the western traditions alive!!! we have invited 60 years of Killdeer state rodeo champions to help present our new event champions buckles this year. The action kicks off Saturday evening with the reined cow horse competion at 5:30 and sunday morning join us for Cowboy church and special music from the Linseth Family. we are also honored to get to recognize all the state rodeo seniors at 8:30 and grand entry for the rodeo will be at 8:45 and kicking the gate open with exciting rodeo action at 9am. we have many vendors coming and lots of rodeo action on what is going to be a perfect Mother’s day! we can’t wait to see you all on the hill sunday! 🤠

The ND Farm Bureau Burleigh County Athlete of the Week is Tyler Hansen. Tyler Championed the leader board in the Steer Wrestling and Team Roping (with his brother and partner Kale Hansen), while finishing Reserve Champion in the Tie Down Roping. These event placings earned him the Men's All Around Champion Title for the BHSU Will Lantis Yellowjacket Stampede.

Cooper Martin was day 1 West Fargo All around champion and Cannin and Cashin Carson doing their thing in the Team Roping Day 1 and Day 2 and Chase Kling day 2 Saddle Bronc Champion. Makinley Lazorenko was day 1 barrel racing champion. Kenzley Hausauer pole bending day 2. Great showing by all our Killdeer high school rodeo kids this weekend
