Just 4 more days to see The Perception Project at Dare Arts in Manteo. This piece, Fading Into the Woodwork, completely changes depending on which color you use to view it.

Try using the special glasses on other pieces to separate the vivid colors into surprising layers, or use augmented reality to watch them come to life. Other pieces appear to move when you simply walk past them.

There’s a lot of interactive art to explore, but only until Sunday! Come check it out!

This First Friday in Manteo is going to be epic! At , in addition to my interactive solo show, has a curated show in the upstairs gallery (including work by ) and .e.parks will be unveiling her outdoor sculptural fiber installation.

There will also be live music all over town including and a concert by at the . The weather looks great and First Friday is always so much fun - come on down to Manteo and see us!

It’s official! My next solo show will be at Dare Arts in Manteo in July, with an opening reception July 3 from 6-8 during Manteo’s First Friday celebration.

This will be a fun one, featuring paintings, glass, and other new ideas I’ve been exploring. Hope to see you there!

Mark the calendar! Emily Holmes' solo exhibit "The Perception Project" will open in our Vault Gallery at 6pm on Friday, July 3.

"The Perception Project" features interactive artworks that explore how perception shifts through movement, light, layering, and visual illusion. Visitors can expect to encounter colorful mixed-media paintings, optical effects, hidden imagery, textured glass, and experimental pieces that change depending on where you stand or how you engage with them.

What a nice surprise! My painting, The Roar of the Ocean, received an excellence award in this year’s Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show . As always, there was so much amazing local talent represented in the show. It’s really special to be recognized! ❤️🌊 The show runs throughout the month of May in Manteo, NC.
