OBX Inks offers workshops and classes in alcohol inks. Classes are taught by Emily Holmes, an artist who has worked as a visual designer for more than 15 years. In the early 2000s, Emily opened a stained glass studio in western New Jersey that designed, produced and sold glass giftware to galleries and catalog companies around the world. She also taught a wide range of weekly art classes, ranging
from stained and fused glass to mosaic, jewelry, and alcohol inks. She closed the studio in 2009 to relocate to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where she has continued to pursue her love of art, design, and vivid colors through alcohol ink and mixed media art. Emily also volunteers locally teaching art and craft classes to adults with developmental disabilities. Emily began working with alcohol inks in 2013 and began offering classes on the Outer Banks in 2015. Emily’s alcohol ink classes are fun, relaxing, low-stress opportunities to explore creating artwork; whatever their experience level, we’re sure you will have a great time!
