I enjoy matching the image to the right presentation.

For this Road to Hāna coastline photograph, I chose brushed aluminum because the medium complements the subject. The crashing surf, black lava rock, and ocean spray seem to come alive on metal in a way that’s difficult to duplicate with traditional prints.

I’ve been expanding my Signature Collection lately and learning a lot about how different materials affect the final viewing experience.

Lahaina Harbor Waiting area 2022 before the fire and today, May 23rd 2026. The last time Cindy and I visited the harbor was 3 weeks before the fire in July of 2023. We had not been back since.

Today was our first day back to see future rebuilding and hope but to witness much that is no more. Very sobering and a definate feeling of loss on a scale we cannot comprehend. Worthy of a pause, thankful for the time the town was whole, if only in memory and pictures now.
