Rest in peace Ed Miner. We want to acknowledge you're passing and send our deepest condolences and sincere respect to your big island ohana. Your passion and commitment to the Hilo dirt track was an inspiration to us all and we will be competing with heavy hearts this weekend. May the checkered flag always wave in your direction awesome person.

Fun Motorsports Facts: Did you know that Dirt Tracks are like happy camels because they both hold a bunch of water. So any rain we receive this week leading up to this Saturday night is always a bonus. So no worries friends if you see some clouds over the speedway this Monday thru Friday because the word on the street is that the weather is going to be perfect for this upcoming race which is actually shaping up to be a monster event with plenty of off island drivers planning on making the inter island trek over here to Maui to dice it up with our local talent. So start making your plans now because come Saturday night things are going to be going fun fast and curious furious down at the oval track. And remember that the gates open at three for our serious tailgaters and on track activities begin happening right around 6:30 pm.
