Building my Coastal Relic collection between flights in San Diego.

This finished pitcher now holds a touch of spring.

Three new works are underway—a shallow oval bowl and two lidded vessels—each shaped by the driftwood they carry.

The material always leads.

My work explores the idea that something meaningful exists beneath the surface of seemingly solid forms. The sculptures often appear quiet and monolithic at first glance, but openings and fissures reveal hidden interior light.

These illuminated interiors suggest endurance, discovery, and the possibility that something luminous exists within what appears closed or impenetrable.

Drawing inspiration from natural formations, erosion, and architectural simplicity, the pieces invite viewers to look closer and experience a moment of quiet revelation.

Through sculptural vessels, columns, and lighting forms, my work investigates the relationship between structure, interior space, and the subtle presence of light emerging from within.
