Did you know that the Key West Art Center has a long history of having arts education programs for the youth of Key West? This article from 1978 shows young students working on pieces in the Art Center. Isn’t it wonderful that we have such a legacy of cultivating the next generation of Keys artists? Our ArtSpark program carries on this tradition and part of our mission. 💜🎨🧑‍🎨

Who's that? Why, it's KWAC Member Joan Cox, whose 10x10 oil painting "Boys on the Beach" is showcased in our Keys Season Window, where all original artwork is just $175. Joan is both a painter and a potter. Joan's paintings are strongly influenced by where she is. The predominant influence in the Keys is color, painting plein air - she embraces fun. Her ceramic works feature some of her favorite aquatic creatures. Check out Joan's work at our gallery at 301 Front Street.
