We just returned from an East Coast tour that started in Maine and led us all the way to Florida and back North to Memphis, TN. There were plenty of tight spaces and dead-hung theaters. We were down to 7 members for some shows and the dancers did an amazing job of dealing with all challenges. They kept their cool and their good humor, treated each other and the staff and crew of each theater with cordiality and grace.

Dancers, I was impressed with your good humor and ability to stay playful! Presenters noticed and commented as well! Thank you all for making the tour a joy!

We've had so many firsts I'd like to share with y'all! 1st Summer Tour - I drove across the country with bus and trailer from CT to Redlands, CA where we had our 1st outdoor show ever at the Redlands Bowl!
We could talk a lot about the 105 degree weather and how my RP screen and the marley floor started to melt or how rehearsals had to end by 9:30 AM and start again at 7:00 PM and how the stalwart dancers never complained (well they did but they were stalwart!). Despite the challenges, we did a show for 6,000 people - our largest audience ever!
And then we drove 9 hours the next morning and did a show that night at the Presidio in San Francisco. Man, this touring thing is fun - but not always!

And then we flew 13 hours to Taipei, Taiwan and we had 3 shows here as part of the Taipei Childrens Festival - all sold out houses! We are here in this amazing country with an entire day off before we fly home! It's been amazing! Of course, I still have to drive back from San Francisco to CT with bus and trailer. It's a mixed bag but I'm grateful that we are still out there making the shows happen!
