Susan Bagrationoff is a professional surrealist whose body of work focuses on mythology and mysterious creatures. Susan M. Susan is a native Floridian.

Faeries and folklore are the subjects of her creations using the beauty of nature within the Pacific Northwest for realistic reference. Bagrationoff (Lady Z) is an ethereal artist living in Fort Myers, Florida. Her subject matter of choice for her paintings are ethereal creatures such as angels and other ghost-like figures. Much of Susan's recent works have incorporated the concepts of the energy

of the soul within plants, animals and human beings. Her latest bodies of work include The Runes Stones (her latest), Tarot Cards, and the Chakras . Born and raised in Miami, she is still one of the palest people in town! Susan's favorite music type is gothic/industrial and she often attends clubs that spin such music on Wednesday nights. This type of music inspires her since the themes of many of the songs relate to mysterious and often magickal subjects. Susan also adore New Age music for the same reason.

PROGRESS POST: I am LOVING how the colors are forming unexpected hues within the driftwood inspired dryads! The faces of these secretive beings are starting to emerge as they peer at the world from the cracks of the withering wood. Getting close to completing this mysterious composition of souls. Stay tuned for the completed piece rather soonish.

VIDEO PROGRESS POST: Here's a short video highlighting the progress on my driftwood inspired dryad! The petrified wooden skin of this old soul is being conjured rather quickly. And I have to say that I am LOVING how the colors of the driftwood are developing!

Art was blossoming at Soos Creek Botanical Garden during Art in Bloom! It was an honor to have two of my mixed media creationson display among many artworks from talented local artists. I snagged a few photos of all the juried art show portion of the event.

PROGRESS POST: It's been a while since I shared the progress on this dryad bound in driftwood, so here it is! I LOVE the grass bed on which these ancient souls rest, which has been completed using an impressionistic technique. The eyes within the wood are still in development, but they are close to being fully conjured.

The petrified skin of the driftwood-clad dryad is about to be formed, so stay tuned for another progress post soonish.

Are you ready for Art in Bloom?! This morning several members of Arts Alliance Northwest helped to set up for the big art event: Art In Bloom.

This one day art show will be held at the Soos Creek Botanical Garden in Auburn on August 15th 10a - 4p. There will be lots of art, crafts for kids, food trucks, live music and an enchanting garden to explore.

JUST COMPLETED: "Dilly Dallying" 2026. This 12" x 12" original acrylic mixed media painting catches playful water nymphs meandering among the rocks of the Green River. Look closely to get a glimpse of these mysterious souls disguised as the cool waters of the river.

This piece was conjured using copious amounts of modeling paste to form the shapes of the river rocks. An impressionistic technique was utilized to create the small stones between the larger rocks. Metallic mediums were used to form the silhouettes of the water nymphs, developing the movement within the piece.

HUZZAH! I am excited to announce that two of my mixed media creations were juried into Art In Bloom, an artsy garden event and exhibition curated by Arts Alliance Northwest!

Such a FANTABULOUS show! Thank you, Artco Framing and Gallery, for the extraordinary 'Abstractions' exhibition! It was wonderful meeting many of the talented presenting artists at the reception on Friday evening. My Dad was in town and got to experience this exhibition as well. Small works, big impressions! What an honor to have "Forest Bathing" included in the Small Wonders 2026 online exhibition curated by Hummingbird And Dragonfly Gallery! Out of 200 submissions, I was one of 64 artists selected to present my small, mixed media creation in this show featuring small sized works of art. PROGRESS POST: For those who prefer a photo progress post, here ya go!

I have to say that this river nymph mixed media creation is giving me quite the challenge! Although I am loving the textures of the river rocks, the colors of the stones are a bit more imaginative than the natural hues. I *THINK* I figured it out since the colors have recently been adjusted. t's getting close to water faerie magick time!
