Auditions for Wildwood Theatre Company's production of DRACULA are now open!!
This is a brand new play by nationally produced playwright Rick Bingen from the novel by Bram Stoker!
📜 WHAT TO PREPARE:
Please prepare a 1-minute monologue of your choice. Sides from the show will be provided if the director would like you to read for a specific role during the audition.

DRACULA: SHOW INFORMATION
SYNOPSIS: Mina Harker never meant to become the keeper of this story -- but as her husband's journal reveals a horror beyond reason, she must piece together the truth of Count Dracula before he claims everyone she loves.

REHEARSALS:
August 11th - September 24th
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm-9pm
Performers will be called as needed.
TECH WEEK REHEARSALS:
September 27th from 10am-5pm, September 28th - October 1st from 5pm-9pm
Actors will not be required for every call. Each week, a call sheet will be provided. We may schedule a few Saturday rehearsals, so please be aware of any incoming new schedules. Rehearsals will begin indoors until we move to Shiloh Park. Please ensure you check the weather and you're prepared to be outside for an extended period of time. Note: Rehearsal locations are not private and will be held mostly in and around the general public.

CASTING STATEMENT: Wildwood Theatre Company enthusiastically welcomes performers of all backgrounds, identities, abilities and experiences to audition. All roles are open to all performers, and we cast based on artistic merit, collaborative spirit, and the unique strengths each artist brings to our ensemble.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
MINA MURRAY – A young, intelligent woman with a gift for observation, organization, and deduction. She collects and arranges the clues needed to understand and ultimately defeat Dracula. She is engaged to Jonathan Harker.
JONATHAN HARKER – Mina’s fiancé, an English solicitor sent to Transylvania to help Dracula purchase property in London. His encounter with the Count leaves him traumatized but determined.
DRACULA – A Count from Transylvania. A cunning, suave, and ancient vampire who has lived for centuries and now seeks to expand his domain into England.
LUCY WESTENRA – Mina’s closest friend. A young, fun-loving woman whom no one can help falling in love with. She wants everyone around her to be happy, even when it costs her.
MRS. WESTENRA – Lucy’s mother. She loves her daughter deeply, but she is a traditionalist who worries about propriety, reputation, and English society.
DR. SEWARD – A young man of science who runs a lunatic asylum. Intelligent, observant, and emotionally guarded, he is also in love with Lucy.
QUINCEY MORRIS – A warm, adventurous cowboy from Texas who does not quite belong in English society. He is in love with Lucy and offers her a glimpse of a larger, freer world.
ARTHUR HOLMWOOD – The wealthy son of an English lord. Kind, proper, and devoted to Lucy, he is favored by Mrs. Westenra as Lucy’s most suitable match.
RENFIELD – A patient in Dr. Seward’s asylum who can sense Dracula’s presence. Renfield believes that by consuming living things, they can absorb life itself.
VAN HELSING – An older professor who has seen many strange and terrible things. He uses religion, folklore, and superstition to understand dangers that science alone cannot explain.
FEMALE VAMPIRES, 2-4 – Seductive, ravenous vampires that Dracula changed himself and live in his castle.
