Incredible 11-year-old Boy with An Old Soul Looking for His Forever Home
LK is an incredible 11-year-old African American boy, with an old soul. He is kind and works hard at trying to put himself in other people’s shoes. He cares deeply about the planet, animals, and fairness. He is inquisitive and enjoys learning about world events and other cultures.
LK is smart and does well academically, he enjoys school especially socializing with his peers. LK’s favorite sport is football, but he also loves fishing and building things. His creative side comes out when he is given a couple of pieces of wood or Legos. LK also enjoys playing radio control cars and video games.
LK struggles at times with trusting adults about keeping their commitments. He also questions his self-worth and as a result he tends to ruminate over negative experiences. LK continues to work on building his self-esteem and is becoming more comfortable with new experiences.
LK is looking for a home that is willing to provide him with the stability that only a nurturing, supportive family can offer either through adoption or by becoming his legal guardian. LK would like a two-parent household with another child close to his age. He is also open to a single female childless household. LK would benefit from parent(s) that are able to provide him with one-on-one attention and who are knowledgeable in the areas of ADHD and PTSD, as LK needs someone that can advocate for services that best support LK’s growth and development.
