🚨It’s Water Safety Month! Each week, the Kenosha Safety Around Water Coalition is sharing quick tips to help keep you and your loved ones safe in and around the water this summer.

🌊 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞
Forget the dramatic splashing and shouting you see in movies - 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁. It can look like someone calmly bobbing, staring blankly, or barely moving at all.
👀 If you’re unsure whether someone is in trouble, 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘀 - 𝗮𝘀𝗸. If they can respond, they’re likely okay. If they can’t, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆.
Most drowning victims never call out for help. There’s a very small window before a distressed swimmer becomes an active drowning victim—every second counts.
Stay alert. Stay safe. Know what to look for. 🛟

🍽️ is the perfect time to spotlight our friends at Public Brewing Company, including their amazing new Executive Chef, Josh Rains. We tried their Restaurant Week dinner for two, including Drunken Shrooms, Hoppy Harvest Flatbread, and Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bites, which was an incredible value of only $32. This special will be available until tomorrow night, so be sure to try it this weekend!

🍻 It paired perfectly with our beer flight, including Bombsicle Sour, Never a Dill Moment Sour, Gulf of Mexican Lager, and Slime Time Sour. Select brews from Public will be available at the The Beach House at Simmons Island during the summer—Southport Blonde is always a crowd favorite.

🎶 Live music by the Spirit Shakers made our dinner even more special. This band also played the first LakeFest at the Beach House, and we definitely enjoyed their psychedelic-inspired vibes. Catch them at Public every Wednesday 7-10PM.
