Happy 4th from the Simmons Island Crew: The Kenosha Beach House, Lakeshore Pedal Tours and Kenosha Community Sailing Center 🇺🇸 We're proud to announce that we won 3rd place for Hometown Pride in the Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade last weekend! What a great way to celebrate America's 250th birthday 🥳

You can come celebrate with us again today! We are open, but please keep in mind that the island will be closed to vehicle traffic, so an alternate form of transportation is suggested. The beach is one of the best spots to watch the fireworks! 🎆

Come see us in the Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade on Sunday, June 28th, 2026 @ 1PM! This year’s parade highlights a milestone anniversary for our country, with the theme "United States Celebrates 250 Years."
📢 Please note that the Beach House will be CLOSED today so our staff can be part of the festivities. We'll be cruising down the street on our float and in the Lakeshore Pedal Tours trolley, with the Kenosha Community Sailing Center's duck boats. Wave and cheer if you see us! 🥳
The parade route will be identical to the last several years, beginning on Seventh Avenue at Washington Road, then heading south through Sixth Avenue downtown and ending on the west side of Library Park. The parade will travel only in the southbound lane on Seventh Avenue, and people are welcome to sit on the boulevard once the parade route is closed to traffic at noon. The best areas for viewing the parade are along Seventh Avenue and Sixth Avenue before the parade reaches Library Park and prepares for disbanding.
