Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve done a full restoration on a pinball machine, but here we go.
I have completely stripped the cabinet and head of everything.
Will be washing these two things outside with the hose and simple green in the next day or so.
Have new artwork on order. So this will be quite a different process for you all to follow. As it’s quite involved.

Well today I finished up an amazing mod addition for T2 (probably not my last one 😂) a Hunter/Killer ship. This ship not only looks great, but moves back and forth when you start a ball in play. It’s continues this motion until you shoot a ball at the standup targets. If you hint the correct one the ship vibrates and shakes like you blew it up and then returns to it home position.
If you miss the target the ship just returns to the home position.
What a unique experience/mod! One of the coolest things I’ve ever added to a pinball machine.
Really enjoyed adding it to my machine.

Not bad, in just a few hours, I was able to strip everything out of the head and most everything in the cabinet with the exception of the playfield itself.
Now the cleaning begins.

Do you have a question for you all. I am looking to do the typical powder coating for this machine that is legs, side rails, lockdown bar, hinges, and shooter housing. Not sure what color I should do. White is the typical one that everybody does. I’ve seen some in blue matching the body of the cabinet.
My question is what would you recommend or think I should do? Someone mentioned either a light tan or a brown. Not sure if I’d want to do black again because I’ve done it so many times.
Give me your thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks, Mike

Well onto the next project. A Williams White Water. The machine was in non-working condition when I purchased it about a month ago. Since then I had done some research/repairs and now is a fully functioning machine.
This is going to be a big project as I will be doing a mostly complete restoration on it, so follow along as I will post pictures of the process.

Well I finished up the TZ machine. This machine is an amazingly original beauty. The cabinet art work has little to no sun fading and damage. The playfield is also in amazing condition with very little signs of usage.
Will be listing it for sale here soon or might have already sold it, so stay tuned.

Made great progress on the TZ today. It’s coming together nicely. Not too much more to do.

Well today, I was able to get the clock completely back together and tested it in the machine. The clock is working correctly and the LEDs look good. Happy with the results.
