📅 Save the Date! The Unionville Community Fair returns October 2–4, 2026!

It's never too early to start planning your entries. Whether you're creating artwork, baking, crafting, gardening, collecting, sewing, woodworking, or preserving family traditions, now is the time to save your projects for the fair. Note that Preschool and Elementary Art (Dept 011, Sec 017, Classes 1800-1841) is limited to 4 per child.

This year, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we're looking forward to showcasing the creativity, talents, and community spirit that have long been at the heart of the Unionville Community Fair.

Looking for inspiration for your next award-winning photo? The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is accepting entries for the 2026 Pennsylvania Agriculture Photo Contest.

Categories include:
🌾 On the Farm
🎡 PA Fair Season
🍎 Agritourism
🌿 Conservation

Many of these subjects also make great entries in the Unionville Community Fair Photography Department, so grab your camera and start capturing the people, places, traditions, and beauty of Pennsylvania agriculture.

Entries are due June 30.

Calling all photographers! 📷

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is now accepting entries for the Pennsylvania Agriculture Photo Contest.

Pennsylvania residents can submit up to four original photos highlighting the people, places, traditions, and beauty of agriculture across the Commonwealth.

Winning photos will be displayed in the Pennsylvania Capitol Complex during the first the weeks of September.

Categories:
On the Farm: Featuring buildings, equipment, landscapes, and daily activities that represent life on a Pennsylvania farm.

PA Fair Season: Showcasing the traditions, excitement, and community spirit of Pennsylvania’s fair season.

Agritourism: Highlighting Pennsylvania’s agricultural and seasonal destinations, including orchards, wineries, and farmers’ markets.

Conservation: Capturing Pennsylvania’s natural beauty through landscapes and waterways.

Entries are due June 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

📅 Save the Date! The Unionville Community Fair returns October 2–4, 2026!

Now is the perfect time to start thinking about the projects, crafts, collections, baked goods, artwork, and other exhibits you plan to enter this fall. Save the date—and save your projects!

As children create artwork throughout the year, we encourage families to save a few favorite pieces for the fair. Please note that entries in Preschool & Elementary Art (Department 011, Section 017, Classes 1800–1841) will be limited to four entries per child this year, so young artists may wish to start choosing the works they are most excited to share.

We look forward to celebrating the talents and creativity of our community. More information and the catalog will be available in the coming months!

The Unionville Community Fair would love if you joined us at this spring community event being hosted at Barnard’s Orchard!

Bring your extra seeds and swap them for something new to grow this season!

1. Bring Seeds to Share

Please bring packets of seeds you’ve saved or extra seeds you’ve purchased.

If possible, label seeds with:
• Plant name
• Variety
• Year harvested or purchased
• Growing notes (optional but appreciated!)

2. Package Your Seeds

Seeds can be brought in:
• Small envelopes
• Paper packets
• Reused seed packets
• Small labeled bags

Try to divide seeds into small portions so multiple people can take some.

3. How the Swap Works
1. Arrive and place your seeds on the swap table.
2. Browse the seeds others brought.
3. Take seeds you’d like to try growing!
4. Please try to take roughly the same number of packets that you brought so everyone gets a fair share.
