This past Sunday, we had a visit from Wilmington area bassist Joe Testa on Sunday to work with a handful of our intermediate drumset students. Joe is an experienced professional whose playing credits include The Rock Orchestra and the Alanis Morrisette tribute band Jagged Little Thrill.

The students working with Joe had the opportunity to try and rapidly build a musical connection and key in on playing with the bass guitar, which from a drummer’s perspective is the most important instrument in the band.

The participating students all left with audio and video recordings of their work that day with Joe.

We will bring this very practical type of experience to the studio more often, stay tuned.
