MACBETH
By William Shakespeare
February 13-23, 2025 (more dates and times below)
The Stillwell Theater
Directed by Marlon Andrew Burnley
Featuring original compositions by Okorie “OkCello” Johnson

General Macbeth receives a prophecy from a coven of witches that one day he will become King. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia. Forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion, he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of madness and death. This production is like none you’ve seen, set in a kingdom that might have existed where it not for the demise of the once artistically vibrant Seneca Village in New York City. Experience this tale of ambition and revenge amidst a swirl of music, art, and murder.

Production features mature/adult situations and violence.
