Loren Fenerty's Dance Factory Dance Education & Training The Dance Factory was founded in 1982 by Darni Jordan Fenerty.

She began her studio in a small building with a single room and taught every class herself. Her love, drive and dance expertise soon had her expanding to a larger facility just across the street from where it all began. It was within the walls of this studio that she taught and touched the lives of thousands of young dancers and it is where we continue to spread this same love and knowledge of dan

ce today. Throughout her years of owning The Dance Factory, Darni trained numerous Regional, National and International champions and on the eve of the studio’s 25th annual Recital, Darni passed the studio to her oldest daughter, Loren, a champion in her own right. Since that night, Loren has been a driving force at the studio, trying her best to continue to train dancers and champions, as her mother did for all those years. Although, Loren is now the face of the studio, Darni still teaches on a weekly basis and continues to be a vital part of the studio life. Both Darni and Loren are trained in all forms of dance, and are certified by test to teach by Dance Masters of America and the Louisiana Association of Dance Masters. Our Professional Staff of National and Internationally Recognized
Dancers & Choreographers offer weekly classes in:

TAP / JAZZ / BALLET / LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY / HIP-HOP / MUSICAL THEATRE and more!!! Our Performer’s Edge Competition Team has won Awards on the Regional, National & International Levels! Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Competitive & Adult Classes are available for ages 18 months* and up!
*must be walking and able to understand simple directions

LFDF Family and Friends - I am asking for your prayers.

Our student, Lamoni Tate is currently in the PICU at Ochsner Children’s Hospital. She had the flu and could not seem to
recover from that or the severe headache they believed was being caused by the illness. Her mother took her to the ER to be checked because her symptoms would not subside and let’s thank God she did. She was diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis - with some brain swelling - they also located a clot in her brain.

She is currently in surgery to reduce the fluid and infection on her brain. I was just informed it is going well thus far - but Lamoni and her family would appreciate any and all thoughts and prayers as she is still in the OR and will have to continue healing as she recovers from this.

If you would like to send LaMoni a message, please feel free to comment below and her mom will read them to her once she is out of surgery and able to do so.

I will update this post once she is out of surgery and I have additional information. We love you Moni!

ATTENTION ALL PRESENT AND FUTURE LFDF FAMILIES!!! We are having to make a slight change to the Registration times for tonight and will only be at the studio from 5-6! Don't worry though! We will be back to registering families both old and new next Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7! We apologize for any inconvenience and will see all of you very soon! 💙💚

Huge congratulations to our incredibly talented dancers for bringing home 3 National Grand Championships, 2 Production Mania Grand Championships and 29 Overall High Score Awards - including SEVEN 1st Overall placements - after competing this past week at Showstoppers Nationals! Your passion, dedication, and teamwork lit up the stage and left everyone in awe!!

Every rehearsal, every sore muscle, every late night — it all paid off. We are beyond proud of each and every one of you. You didn’t just dance — you owned it!!
