It’s Postdoc Brewing Kenmore with Katriina White and Jay Steinbrecher! This week, we’re raising funds for Third Place Commons, where a part of each purchase will go to this pivotal space in our community. Love mega-famous authors? Readings happen there. Go to the LFP Farmer’s Market? Guess who runs it? Want to get up to five extra bonus points? You can donate via QR code during today’s game. Our guest rounds include German Words, Aussie Animals, and authors of the PNW (many of whom have done readings at 3PC). For a social bonus point, what year was Third Place Commons founded? If you’ve been playing our game for a few years, you’ve heard Jay Steinbrecher gush about how great DJ Cummerbund is for our music rounds. Thrilled to see The Mashup Messiah play Seattle for the first time ever with B-52s and DEVO. So much fun, so much good vibes, so much Macho Man Randy Savage. Check out DJC’s YouTube for some greats, including “Houston and Sons,” “Everybody and the Sunshine Band,” and “DragulAPT.”

It’s Postdoc Brewing Kenmore with Lee and Katriina White! This week bring out your lederhosen and dirndl because while Kenmore Oktoberfest has ended, the season sure hasn’t! You can win up to 5 bonus points by being in costume! Didn’t we do that last week? We did! But not enough of you dressed up and we instead celebrated Brenden !For halftime this week, we’ll be doing our annual stein holding contest, where you get a bonus point for every thirty seconds you (correctly) hold your stein! Guest rounds include b**r history, trios, and finally admitting that there’s too many Chrises (Chriz? Chrisss?) in the movies! For a bonus point, we are fundraising for Third Place Commons on October 6th. Give them a follow and write it down on your scoresheet. Prost!

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of Brenden from our trivia community. We’ve been thinking about the best way to share this surprise-yet-inevitable change to our community. Brenden is moving to Idaho at the end of the month. Tomorrow night will be his last night hosting Postdoc Brewing Kenmore alongside Jay Steinbrecher . Brenden volunteered to guest host in 2021 because Box of Rocks needed “someone from GenZ who is (allegedly) cool.” Over the last five years, Brenden has been a regular host, a part of this community, and brought new energy to our game after Cairn Brewing became Postdoc. We will always pretend to fondly remember his delight in telling us that he was born in 1998, and that he is a product of Idaho Department of Education schools.

Come out tomorrow and play Brenden’s last game. It starts at 7pm, will be free to play, and Brenden has a designated driver. Wish our wayward boy well before we make him Idaho’s problem.

It’s Postdoc Brewing Kenmore with Katriina White and Brenden! Trivia begins at 7pm and is free to everyone! Unless you shout out an answer; then you have to stand the whole brewery a round of b**rs. Speaking of rounds, our guest rounds include Cinematic Animals and 90s hip hop! For a bonus point, which organization “claims” that “No Animals were Harmed” at the end of each motion picture. Write the answers on your score sheet, and don’t google more about it unless you seriously want to ruin your day.

It’s Postdoc Brewing Kenmore with Jay Steinbrecher and Katriina White! This week, we’re celebrating two icons for our guest rounds: Dolly Parton and Maria von Trapp. Better practice your vocal warmups; we’re gonna try and hit the High C! For a bonus point: what is the most commonly purchased type of storage at this time of year? Write your answer on your scoresheet!
