I really wanted to share something today because I think it's important to share that le***ans have always been around, and have always been doing amazing things. (and will continue to exist and do amazing things)
On a personal note, I identify as le***an. It's been a long journey with that word, le***an, I feel I've finally accepted that I am in fact le***an. When I came out of the closet, a couple of close people said really horrible things to me, while using the word "le***an," and it always seemed like a hurtful and demeaning word to me, just because of what people would say to me. I'd often refer to myself as "q***r" or "gay" almost softening the blow since "le***an" was used so harshly to me.
I am now proud to say that I identify as le***an, and I love loving women!
