For my first gig since 2020, I was honored to be invited to Utqiagvik for the annual Family Fun Day! It was a busy afternoon in the gymnasium at Ipalook school, with lots of health education, zumba classes, traditional foods, and a few balloons. Hey Fairbanks - Happy Holidays! I have a non-balloon related inquiry for all you locals out there.

I am seeking a heated garage or shop space this spring to work on a bus-camper conversion project. Does anyone have leads on a garage or shop available for rent? I will be working on the interior of the bus only, so no messy paints on the exterior. I estimate I'll need heated space for 4-8 weeks total, and it does not need to be continuously parked indoors. Height is 10 ft 6 inch and length is ~24 ft. I can pay rent and utilities for the space.

I love getting outside-the-box balloon requests. Here's one I actually managed to get a picture of: A Bowl of Ramen and a Potato Hat. A few others I've fielded recently at various events include, "Cat-o-saurus-Rex," "Ghost Chicken," "Zombie Motorcycle," and "Electronic Ankle Bracelet."

Hey Fairbanks - Is there anyone out there (locally) who has any experience as a balloon twister; or is motivated to learn? I have some opportunities for you to work! I'm occasionally offered gigs that I'm unable to take on, and I usually pass these opportunities on to colleagues -- but sometimes even they are already booked! What I'm saying, is if you'd like to work as a balloon artist in Fairbanks there is work waiting for you!
