Happy Birthday Teacher Vola!

Fun facts about the day she was born:
1: On this day in 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech during the March on Washington.
2: Today is also National Bow Tie Day!
3: Other noteworthy births on this day include Jennifer Coolidge, Florence Welch, Jack Black, and Shania Twain.
4: Subway (originally known as Pete's Super Submarine Sandwiches) was launched in Bridgeport, Connecticut on this day in 1965.
5: The first locomotive built in America, “Tom Thumb” was defeated by a horse on this day in 1830, when the locomotive malfunctioned during a demonstration race.

We would love to have you join us for our 2026-27 dance session, starting in two weeks. Don't delay- sign up today!!!

Our classes meet once a week for one hour, from September to May. We offer Ballet for ages 3 to adult, Hip Hop and Lyrical for ages 5 to adult, Contemporary for ages 12 to adult, and International Dance for ages 12+ with a minimum of 2 years dance experience. Our other styles are available for both beginners and seasoned dancers.

Registration forms are available on our website. Once you have printed and filled out your form, please attach cash/check and send it to our mailing address at the bottom of the form. If you are unable to print a form, email [email protected] to request that one be mailed to you!

Our registration processing fee is $20.

Not sure which class to sign up for? Here we break down our 5 styles of dance and their individual strengths and values! Ballet is available for ages 3 to adult, Hip Hop & Lyrical are available for ages 5 to adult, and Contemporary & International are available for ages 12 to adult. International Dance requires at least 2 years of prior dance experience, while our other styles are all available for both beginners and experienced dancers.

Frequently Asked Question: What do I wear to class?
If you've received your placement letter, you already have this info! Please make sure to fully read through our welcome notes; we work hard to clearly communicate important info and minimize confusion throughout the year. If you skim the letter, you're missing out!

Full attire notes:

Hip-Hop & International - Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing such as sweatpants & t-shirts. Athletic leggings are welcome, but please wear them with a top that goes below the bum or with a flannel tied around the waist. *Shoes need to be running shoes or other kinds of supportive athletic shoes. Shoes need to NOT leave marks on floors, please. Also, no street shoes are to be worn in the dance room. We need you to have a specifically designated pair of shoes that you change into once you arrive, and change out of before you leave. (They do NOT need to be “official” hip-hop dance shoes [the spendy ones from dance stores/websites] although they can be if you want.) This just means that the pair of shoes you choose are designated for the classroom only. This will limit the amount of “stuff” being tracked into the dance room, the need to sweep so often between classes, and keep the floor cleaner all-around for our dancers; as well as limiting wear-and-tear on the dance floor. Thank you for understanding!

Lyrical & Contemporary - Similar attire as above for hip-hop, but sometimes students choose slightly more flowy tops/tunics. Lyrical shoes or barefoot are both great, but ABSOLUTELY NO street shoes or socks. *You can go to various websites such as discountdance.com, dancewearsolutions.com, etc. to see all the options they have for lyrical shoes and choose which style you would like to purchase. Whatever you choose, please just get the shoes in a n**e color.

Ballet (PreK) - Tights paired with a leotard and (optional) skirt, or a leotard-skirt combo piece. Ballet slippers.
Ballet (5 & up to adult) - For this group, attire needs to be a leotard, tights, ballet shoes, and (optional) skirt and/or warm-ups (ballet sweaters, legwarmers, etc.)

Are you closed? I came to see you, but no one was in the office.

Answer:
While our studio is eagerly gearing up for the next dance session, our office is closed for the duration of the summer. The next opportunity for you to see us face-to-face will be at our first day of classes for the 2026-27 dance year. September 10th we reopen and we would love to see you! However, if you're interested in getting signed up, we are more than happy to assist you remotely today. Contact us via email ([email protected]), FB/IG messenger, or give us a call* (360-957-4544).

We have officially sent out the first round of placement letters! This means, *if you registered by/before July 28th, you should have received your letter by now.

If you have not received your letter, there are a few possible reasons:
1) We have held your placement for some reason. Check to see if you have a message or email from us regarding this!
2) We didn't get the correct mailing address. Please reach out to see if we have your proper contact info!
3) The postal service did an "oopsie" and your letter has been lost. Let us know ASAP so that we can get a replacement sent your way!

One month until classes start- thank you for dancing with us!
