Great teaching asks a dancer for more—more attention, more discipline, more precision, more responsibility.

But excellence does not require humiliation, fear or cruelty.

At North Central Ballet, we believe dancers can be corrected without being diminished.

They begin with great training.

Long before the summer intensives, university programs, professional opportunities and beautiful performances, there is a teacher correcting a foot.

For more than three decades, North Central Ballet students have been awarded scholarships and accepted to study with some of the most respected ballet institutions in the country—including School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Ballet Austin, North Carolina School of the Arts and more.

Those opportunities didn't begin when our dancers were 16.

The foundation began years earlier.

That is why we take the first class just as seriously as the advanced one.
