🎵 BANDS! Want to support Make Music Day Salem and get some awesome merch at the same time? 🎵

For the last 4 years, Becka Makes Buttons has been proud to make the official buttons for Make Music Day Salem. Over the years, these buttons have become fun collector items that attendees look forward to grabbing each year.

This year, we’re trying something a little different.

From June 1–15, when your band orders a package of 100 custom buttons for $59, we’ll donate 10 Make Music Day Salem buttons to help support this incredible community event.

💖 Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Scan the QR code on the flyer and place your order.
2️⃣ We’ll create 100 custom buttons featuring your band’s artwork.
3️⃣ Your buttons will be ready for pickup at our Keizer location before Make Music Day.
4️⃣ We’ll donate 10 Make Music Day Salem buttons on your band’s behalf.
5️⃣ Your band gets a social media shoutout for helping support Make Music Day Salem.
6️⃣ We’ll handle delivery of the donated buttons to the organizers.

It’s an easy way to promote your music, stock up on merch, and help keep one of Salem’s favorite music celebrations rocking.

If enough bands jump in, we can help offset some of the costs and make sure Make Music Day Salem can continue creating amazing experiences for our local music community for years to come.

These are my favorite types of projects to work on with buttons. .julirayjoy had an idea for helping people to communicate where they were at in their headspace while volunteering at Farm. The farm is a place of healing. Sometimes people want to just put their hands in the soil and ignore the world and sometimes they want to chat, or maybe they are somewhere in between. The idea was to present where someone’s headspace is at, so people can work respectively around each other and people can respect each other’s personal space. This was the finished result of what we came up together.

The 6” buttons have stands on the back, to accompany the buttons with simple explanations to differentiate between the red, yellow, and green buttons that people can grab.

Thanks again Juli for bringing this project to me. I hope it helps people on their healing journeys.

A few custom name tags headed out to Olympia, Washington for Twitchy Tails Critter Care! 🐾

Zash and the team at Twitchy Tails provide personalized pet and critter care, focusing on meeting each animal’s unique needs (dogs and cats to the more unusual members of the family). Their philosophy is that quality pet care isn’t one-size-fits-all, and every animal deserves attentive, individualized care.

For this project, we created three 2x3” rectangle name tags with magnetic backs, featuring their colorful logo and staff titles. Magnet-backed badges are a great option for pet care professionals since they stay secure throughout the day without putting holes in clothing.

There’s something really special about tiny art with a big purpose. 🌎✨

I recently had the opportunity to produce these 2.25” awareness buttons supporting the restoration efforts for the Eco-Earth Globe (one of Salem’s most beloved public art landmarks).

Projects like this are such a good reminder that buttons aren’t just merch. They’re conversation starters. Fundraisers. Wearable advocacy. Tiny moving billboards for community projects, nonprofits, events, artists, schools, causes, campaigns, and local movements.

A simple button can:
• raise awareness
• spark conversations
• create visibility at events
• help raise funds
• build community identity
• give people a tangible way to show support

And honestly? There’s something powerful about seeing a whole group of people wearing the same message.

I love getting to help organizations and community projects bring ideas like this into the real world in an affordable, accessible way.
