I can’t wait to see the setup for the next wedding or party under these new cafe lights over this end of the patio! This is one of our off-season improvement projects. Working on LED lighting to go with the music and a pickleball court for the kid side of JD CAMP Event Center.

Coming up — a new kind of event for us — we will be having a dance/birthday for 13-17 year olds. Given the heat, they want to setup their DJ and dance floor inside and have their food and drink outside with the Big Ass fans covering their outdoor setup. I can’t wait to have this; it’s just a neat change from weddings. I’m hoping these kids have a blast and create a great memory. Pictures to come ….

Of all the types of events that are great to be held at JD Camp Event Center, I think a Celebration of Life is one of the best — it is peaceful, private, and pretty. Just posting a few of the pictures from Janet Hyatt’s Celebration of Life. It was a beautiful family and friends gathering. This is the second one and another is being planned.

It is with great sadness I post that my mother, and one of the founders of JD CAMP has died. She will be missed and remembered, and we will celebrate her life at the camp this spring.
