THE EDGE ENSEMBLE PRESENTS ARSENIC AND OLD LACE

Two charming old aunts in Victorian lace, with a strange secret, a delusional nephew who claims to be Teddy Roosevelt, a sinister nephew looking for a hideout from the police, and a protective nephew who worries about the craziness that runs rampant in the family.

Such is the setting for Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring, The Edge Ensemble’s final show of the 2026 season. Kim Dupuis directs this classic comedy that opens on November 13. This play is a mixture of high and low comedy. Expect slapstick and sophisticated banter. In the cast are Jenny Holan, Catherine Behrens, Peter Eisenstadter, Damien Licata, Jay Gelter, Emmadora Boutcher, Bruce Holloway, James Fordi, Robert Wellington, Nick Morgan, and Patrick Caron.

Performances are November 13, 14, and 19, 20, 21 at 7:30 PM, and November 15 and 22 at 2 PM at The Edge Theater, 310 Marlboro St., Suite 112, Keene. We have great news! Reservations will no longer be taken because you can now purchase tickets and select seats in advance through our website: www.edgeensemble.org/boxoffice.

You will still be able to purchase a seat at the door with cash or checks, however, there will be less seat availability as some seats will have been purchased in advance. We are hoping this will be a better experience for everyone!

Join us for our second Edge Café presentation of 2026, as former English teacher and current Edge actor Peter Eisenstadter offers his own selection of poems that have touched his heart.

​Catherine Behrens is the director, and Kenzie Wood is the producer of this poetry reading, with lighting and sound effects by David Teubner. There will be two performances only, Saturday, October 3, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, October 4, at 2 PM, at The Edge Theater, 310 Marlboro St., Suite 112, Keene, NH. Admission is $12 general admission, $10 for students and seniors. Tickets must be purchased at the door. Cash or checks only. Seating for Edge Café is first come, first served. We will not be taking reservations.

LAST CHANCE! You still have time to see this deeply moving production of DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA by John Patrick Shanley. Our final production will be today, August 30, matinee at 2:00 PM.

Don’t miss the compelling, moving, riveting performances by Noah Carmel and Grace Johnson!

Don’t miss the beautiful direction by Kim Dupuis of this strangely compelling and powerful drama.

Danny, played by Noah Carmel, is a violent young man shunned by his workmates as “a beast,” who meets Roberta, played by Grace Johnson, a deeply wounded young woman profoundly distrustful of men. Their aggressive interaction becomes a proving ground for different life paths and, possibly, a hopeful future for both.

Violence, guilt, self-hatred, distrust – these are not-so-admirable qualities.

Watch a series of events unfold that allows hope to spring into the hearts of two very troubled souls meeting in a Bronx bar. Where can it go? Well, come and see!

Performances are August 21-22 and 27-29 at 7:30 PM and August 23 and 30 at 2 PM

The play premiered in 1983 at Circle in the Square with John Turturro and June Stein; it won an Obie award for John Turturro. It was revived in 2023, with Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott; in 2024, it was nominated for a Drama League award for an outstanding revival and for a Lucille Lortel award for a distinguished performance.

Join us for this very touching play about the power of human connection and the difference it can make in our lives!
