"I am the single mother of an amazing soon to be 14 year old trans child. He socially transitioned at age 3, has been living in our current community since age 5, and has had a suprelin implant for blocking since age 9-10. He NEEDS to start T as his bone health is being affected with the long time blocking but we have faced roadblocks accessing healthcare for him in New Hampshire.
We need to move to New York state!
In New Hampshire we are about to loose access to gender affirming care for youth! My son has worked very hard on his transition. He is a straight A student, an amazing athlete, friend, brother and all around kind person. He is experiencing anxiety, panic attacks and fear that he will not be able to start on his medication, and that his Trans status will be exposed. Some long time friends have made references to his birth name picking on him.... and I will not allow my child to be made to feel less than, like he doesn't belong, or that there is something wrong with him. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that all of my children are loved, supported, and have the opportunities to succeed!"
