Twenty years ago, The Metropolitan Opera started transmitting live performances to movie theaters around the world. On September 19, you can join the celebration at SHOWROOM.

The 20th Anniversary Celebration features highlights from more than 185 performances, hosted by Renée Fleming, with artists including Joyce DiDonato, Jonas Kaufmann, Elīna Garanča, and more.

September 19 at 1pm. $25 general / $22 for members and Met members / $15 students.

John Zorn joins us in person, opening the evening with a 30-minute talk before a single note is played. What follows is the debut of Flatlands, a new trio drawn entirely from his imagination: guitarist Matt Hollenberg, bassist Simon Hanes, and drummer Ches Smith, three fearless players pulled from across Zorn's orbit, tearing through fresh compositions with virtuosic solos, crushing riffs, and rhythms that pivot on a dime.
