¡Hola, amigos! This Cinco de Mayo, the Keene Cheshiremen Chorus invites all men to celebrate with a musical twist — “Sing‑Go D‑May‑O!”

Whoa, whoa — hold the tacos! This Cinco de Mayo, the Keene Cheshiremen Chorus is doing something… unexpected.

Introducing “Sing‑Go D‑May‑O!” — the only event where you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo… by singing barbershop harmony. That’s right. Barbershop Harmony! No sombreros required. Oh! No songs in Spanish. All strictly Americana barbershop harmony! Just some great holiday food, tho'!

Join us Tuesday, May 5th at 6:30 PM at the United Church of Christ in Keene (Vernon St entry). All men welcome.

Ladies! Drop-off your man at 6:30 PM. You may be glad you did!

No experience needed. If you can hum in the shower without scaring the dog, you’re qualified.

“Sing-Go D-May-O!” Guest Night – May 5 in Keene.

The Keene Cheshiremen Chorus invites all men to a festive, Cinco de Mayo–themed open sing called “Sing-Go D-May-O!” on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 PM at the United Church of Christ in Keene (Vernon St. entrance).

Guests can try singing in four-part barbershop harmony, with no experience required. Learning materials and coaching are provided. Enjoy a fun, relaxed evening of music, fellowship, and Mexican holiday fare courtesy of members and Margarita’s Restaurant.

The Cheshiremen, part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, have been enriching the Monadnock Region for more than 70 years and welcome newcomers of all ages.

“UpGray’d Quartet, a well known a ca****la barbershop harmony quartet, all members of the Keene Cheshiremen Chorus, has been invited to perform the National Anthem at the New Hampshire State House opening session on Thursday, April 23rd, at 9:00 or 10:00 AM.

The quartet—recognized throughout the region for its warm harmonies, upbeat personality, and polished barbershop sound—has performed at community events, celebrations, and gatherings across the state. Their invitation to sing at the State House highlights their growing presence in New Hampshire’s arts and civic communities.

“We’re honored to be asked to sing in such a meaningful setting,” the group shared. “Performing the National Anthem at the State House is a privilege, and we’re excited to represent our community.”
