Dear New Hopewell family and friends,

As many of you are aware our amazing owner, founder, and mother Kathy Windle died last October 2022. Kathy’s passion for nurturing everyone’s love for the creative arts has moved and motivated so many people and we would love to continue to do so, unfortunately Eliza and Kyra are not at a point in our personal lives to be able to own and operate a dance studio as our mother Kathy did.

Kathy Windle was and always will be the heart of New Hopewell Center for the Arts.

All the same teachers that you know and love have followed our fellow dance instructor Jessica Stephey to her own, brand new dance studio Adagio Academy of the Performing Arts. We recommend looking into everything she offers at her studio.

We will no longer have a performing arts center at the farm like Kathy did, however we do have new and exciting things in the works for our future at New Hopewell that Kathy and our family had been planning.

So sorry to everyone who was looking forward to continue their dance education at New Hopewell Center for the Arts, but all the same dance teachers look forward to seeing you at Adagio Academy of the Performing Arts.

Yesterday we closed our 2022/2023 season with our Broadway Follies recital. Our students and staff worked so hard all year preparing for this day and all that hard work really paid off! We had nearly 400 in attendance to watch our talented students perform. We are so grateful for all our students and their families and couldn't be prouder of all their hard work.

Along with our students, our teachers worked so hard creating amazing choreography, costuming, and everything that goes along with a great recital. Thank you so much to Miss Eliza, Miss Kyra, Miss Jessica B, Miss Jasmine, and Miss Kaitlyn – your dedication to our students makes our hearts swell!

We got to celebrate our graduating senior, Jasmine Jackson, who is so loved by students, families, and our staff. Miss Jasmine will be attending Shepherd University in the fall and while she will be cutting back a little, you will still get to see her and take class with her at the studio.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to sell tickets, scan tickets, usher people to their seats, help with concessions, and wrangle our performers backstage to make sure they were where they needed to be at all times. You were all vital to making this day a success.

Thank you to the JHS Colorguard who helped with candygrams and flowers and who performed with us.

Thank you to Christina Pope who keeps our show running smoothly and is the most amazing props creator we could ask for.

And finally, huge thanks to Crissy Crawford, Hannah Myers, and Alysia Hunter from JHS who created our amazing lighting, ran our sound, and together with Christina kept our show running smoothly. Thank you for everything you did and all your time you dedicated to us during the week. We could not have done this without you.

We hope everyone has a wonderful summer and can’t wait to see everyone in our new space this fall!

The day we've all been working towards and waiting for is finally here!

Please be sure to use your Recital Day Checklist to ensure your student(s) has all costumes, accessories, shoes, makeup, etc. for each piece they are performing. And don't forget your Recital Lineup to keep them on track!

Students Level 2a-Adult are to arrive at 1:00 pm.
Students Toddler-Level 1 are to arrive at 1:30 pm.

Please be sure to check in at the Student Check-In Table with Mr. Allen before heading to your designated backstage area.

We are so excited for the show and can't wait to see everyone there!

Today is our dress rehearsal and students are to arrive at 8:30 am. This rehearsal will run from the first number through the last number.

Please be sure you use your Dress Rehearsal Checklist to ensure your student(s) has all costumes, accessories, shoes, makeup, etc. that they need for each piece they are performing.

All rehearsals take place at Jefferson High School and are mandatory.

Students MUST stay the entire time as our Curtain Call will be practiced at the end of the show.

Today is our full run through rehearsal and students are to arrive at 6:00 pm. This rehearsal will run from the first number through the last number. Students DO NOT need to have their costumes or makeup for this rehearsal.

All rehearsals take place at Jefferson High School and are mandatory.

Students should wear their normal dance clothes to rehearsal today.

Students may leave once their LAST class in the lineup has rehearsed.

Today is our tech rehearsal and students are to arrive at 6:00 pm. This rehearsal will run from the first number through the last number. We may need to start and stop as we figure out all of our tech-related items.

All rehearsals take place at Jefferson High School and are mandatory.

Students should wear their normal dance clothes to rehearsal today.

Students may leave once their LAST class in the lineup has rehearsed.

Today is our third day of individual class rehearsals. Please log into the Parent Portal and click on "Shared Files" to view the schedule.

All rehearsals take place at Jefferson High School and are mandatory.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled time, have all your dance shoes, and plenty of water. Students should wear their normal dance clothes to rehearsal today.

Students may leave once their LAST class scheduled has rehearsed.

Today is the last day of dance classes for our 2022/2023 season. Our students have worked so hard and learned so much this season and would couldn't be more proud of them!

Don't forget, Monday 6/5/2023 begins our Recital Week with mandatory rehearsals every day at Jefferson High School. Please log into your Parent Portal to view our Recital Week Schedule and look for an email later today with important information about Recital Week.
