KHS Competitive Theatrics

Dates & Times: July 29-31 (Wed-Fri) // 9:00am-3:00pm
Lunch: Will be on your own each day.
Cost: $20/person (covers the whole camp)
Payment can be received the day of camp via cash or check made payable to: KHS Speech

This camp is for all KHS high schoolers (9-12th grade) including incoming freshmen and those who want to learn more.

You will learn all about the Speech Team, meet new people, and discover what area(s) of Speech Team fit you best! No matter your personality or experience, there is a competitive speech event for you! This is a great opportunity to get a head start on the season as we will spend time collaborating with each other in order to gain as much headway as possible for the upcoming season.

Our goals for you as you experience this camp:

⭐Learn about what competing on the speech team is like and the events you can compete in,
⭐Walk away on Friday with a fully-written or prepared speech for the upcoming season, and
⭐Have fun, learn about the speech team, and meet new people!

SPECIAL NOTE: we will be announcing the upcoming season’s OIDs during camp and are planning to CAST at that time as well!

It was such a gorgeous day to head east to Bellevue West! Thank you to Becca Hier and her amazing team for such a fantastic day. This was one of our biggest competitions this season with over 700 competitors!

After a tough day of competition at Lincoln Northwest High School Kearney High ended up at 6th Place this year at districts. We are incredibly proud of the the work that we put into producing such a beautiful play.

Special thanks to Eggbert for traveling along with us even though it was a long day. Travel is tough for Muppets.
