Merryman Performing Arts Center received a $2,500 Building for Tomorrow grant from the Kearney Area Community Foundation. The money will go toward their Merryman Matinee Series for elementary students and families!

Today, more than 700 elementary students from Kearney Public Schools , Elm Creek and Minden laughed and learned about science with national touring artists Professor Smart and Dr. Know-it-all! Thanks to the Scott D. and Rochelle Morris fund and the Parker-Hannifin Foundation for making this engaging performance possible!

Today 1,200 students attended Pete the Cat the Musical! The kids loved his groovy songs as he taught them all about creativity and art. Thank you to Trius Federal Credit Union, The Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and the Kearney Area Arts Council - KAAC for making these performances possible!

On Sunday, April 19 at 4 PM, the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney is hosting a national touring production of Pete the Cat – The Musical. This is a full professional show based on the “Pete the Cat” books, with incredible costumes, exciting sets, and fun music that’s perfect for kids (and the grown‑ups who read those books at bedtime!)
