I went to the Aloha Stadium swap meet this past weekend and found these goodies . I love the miniature koa wood Ukelele . The mother of pearl clutch bag also really caught my attention. But what really puzzled me were the two tikis with the black tops. They sort of look like hats , but I’ve never seen tops like these .

Inspired by the classic witch doctor from vintage Scooby-Doo cartoons, this bold little tiki is getting turned into a pendant necklace—and I’m kind of obsessed with how it turned out. A little Witco story 🌴

The two tikis on the right are original Witco catalog pieces — straight out of the vintage brochure that helped define mid-century tiki style. These iconic carved forms are part of the classic Witco lineup that showed up in tiki bars and living rooms across America.

The pair on the left? I found them tucked away in an antique store here in Hawaii — one of those heart-stopping collector moments where you know exactly what you’re looking at. Same lineage, same spirit, still carrying that bold Witco presence.

And the center figure is extra special: I had Witco make it for me to complete the set. Bringing old and new together to finish a dream display felt like closing a circle.

Vintage tiki history, a Hawaii treasure hunt, and a custom piece to tie it all together. This is why I collect. 🌺
