🌍 Earth Speaks: Ocean Goddesses and Rising Waves 🌊

Two days ago, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck off the coast of Russia’s Kuril Islands, triggering tsunami warnings for both Japan and Hawai‘i. On the same day, Klyuchevskaya Sopka, the tallest volcano in Eurasia, erupted—while our own Kīlauea continues to stir on Hawai‘i Island.

In times like these, Mayumi Oda’s artwork invites us to listen deeply to the Earth.

🌀 Featured today are her twin ocean goddesses:

Goddess of the Deep Blue I
Goddess of the Deep Blue II

These powerful feminine archetypes rise from the deep waters, embodying the fierce, protective energy of the ocean. Their wild hair flows like waves, their gazes unwavering.

🖼️ Available as museum-quality giclée prints, each piece can stand alone—or together, they form a dynamic set. Giclée (pronounced “zhee-CLAY”) is a fine art digital print created using pigment-based inks on archival paper, allowing for stunning color accuracy and longevity.

🌐 Let these goddesses remind us that the Earth is alive—and she is speaking.

Summer is in full bloom here on Hawaiʻi Island 🌞🌊

🌺 Golden Sea: Conch Blower & Mother of Pearl
“Healthy women in the ocean” is a recurring theme in Mayumi Oda’s work—this radiant set was painted in honor of the Ama, the legendary women pearl divers of Japan. In Hawaiʻi, that spirit lives on in ocean women—free, strong, and deeply connected to nature.

In Mother of Pearl, the figure floats in the Pacific, crowned with a lei, surrounded by Hawaiʻi’s powerful summer waves.
In Conch Blower, she sends a call across the sea—an ancient echo of prayer and strength.

🌕 As we celebrated Bon Dance at Daifukuji Temple last weekend, Mayumi reflected on how water, community, and remembrance flow through both Japanese and Hawaiian traditions—offering renewal and gratitude at the height of summer.

🌿✨ “Show Us Goddess the Way of Being Peace”
🕊️ Amid conflict, we look to the sacred feminine for guidance. With the recent ceasefire between Israel and Iran, our hearts are reminded that peace is always possible — but only when we ask, listen, and act with compassion.

Mayumi Oda’s powerful artwork, Show Us Goddess the Way of Being Peace, embodies this prayer — calling forth the wisdom of the divine feminine to lead us toward a world rooted in healing, understanding, and balance.

🎨 This large-format print is nearly sold out — only 3 pieces remain. Each is a radiant offering of stillness, strength, and hope.
🔮 The image is also featured in the Goddess Oracle Deck of Kealakekua, Mayumi’s visionary 64-card deck honoring goddesses across cultures.

🌺 Bring this energy of peace into your space. May we all learn from the goddess — how to BE peace.

🌬️❄️ Poliʻahu – Goddess of Snow, Mist, and Sacred Water ❄️🌬️

Atop the summit of Mauna Kea, Lake Waiau glistens like a gem in the clouds — a sacred site known as one of the highest lakes in the United States and the only lake on Hawai‘i Island.

In Hawaiian mythology, this mystical lake is connected to powerful goddesses:
🌫️ Poliʻahu, goddess of snow, seated on kalo (taro)
🌧️ Her sister Lilinoe, goddess of mist
🌊 And Mooinanea, a water deity said to live in Lake Waiau and visit a nearby rain rock.

✨ Mayumi Oda's Poliʻahu honors these sacred feminine forces. Painted in the style of a Tibetan thangka, this giclée is more than a fine art print — it's a prayer for peace, clarity, and reverence for water.

🔍 Giclée prints are museum-quality, archival pigment reproductions that capture every detail of the original.

🌺🐒 Hanuman: Devotion, Courage & Sacred Action 🐒🌺

In honor of Kamehameha Day (June 11), we celebrate strength that serves the people.

This fine art giclée of Hanuman, the monkey god of courage and unwavering devotion, is Mayumi Oda’s homage to spiritual heroism — much like that of King Kamehameha, whose leadership united the Hawaiian Islands.

✨ In the photos, Mayumi stands at the foot of Mauna Kea in 2019 at the time of TMT protest movement, holding the original Hanuman thangka — a sacred offering of protection and clarity.
🏵️ And from the heart of Kohala, the Kamehameha Day celebration in Kapaʻau reminds us of the power of ancestral guidance.

🖨️ Hanuman is a giclée print — a high-quality archival reproduction of Mayumi’s original painting.

🚴‍♀️ Manjusri, On the Bicycle – Wisdom in Motion

May is National Bike Month 🚲 — and what better time to share this radiant artwork by Mayumi Oda?

In traditional iconography, Manjusri, the Bodhisattva of Perfect Wisdom, wields a sword to cut through ignorance. But in Mayumi’s vision, this feminine Manjusri rides joyfully on a bicycle, holding a sutra scroll — a symbol of clarity and deep understanding. 📜💫

She reminds us that wisdom can flow through everyday movement — through balance, breath, and the rhythm of the road. 🌬️🌿
