For more than 50 years, the Red, White & Blue State Championship Series has been one of Wisconsin’s most iconic racing traditions.

This is the series where legends were forged, where fans watched Dick Trickle dominate, where Alan Kulwicki sharpened the craft that would take him all the way to NASCAR glory, and where generations of racers have chased one of the most meaningful titles in Midwest short track history.

And in 2026, it all begins again.

The 2026 Red, White & Blue Series fires off June 11 with the Red Race at WIR!

🏁 $3,500 to win – Super Late Models
🏁 51 laps honoring Kyle Busch
🏁 Presented by Bergstrom Chevrolet Cadillac
🏁 Supported by A & W Towing and Repair and the Rich Somers Memorial

And in the spirit of the Red, White & Blue, we’re giving back. On June 11, July 9, and August 20, WIR will donate $1 from every can of Budweiser sold to Folds of Honor Wisconsin, supporting families of fallen service members.

Racing brings us together.
Giving back makes us stronger.

Join us June 11 as we honor heroes on and off the track.

STENJEM STRIKES WITH FIRST SUPER LATE MODEL WIN OF 2026

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (June 4, 2026) – In a field full of contenders, Riley Stenjem pulled off a statement win in the 30-lap Schmitty’s Tickets Super Late Model feature presented by L&S Electric. It was Stenjem’s first Fox River Racing Club win of the season at Wisconsin International Raceway.

Stenjem sliced his way to the lead by lap three then built a heavy cushion on his way to the win.

Braison Bennett secured the lead early from fellow front-row starter Travis Rodewald. Stenjem jumped to Second behind Bennett, then immediately surveyed his opportunity to take the lead. In a flash, Stenjem jumped to the inside and grabbed the lead from Bennett.

As Stenjem went on to build his lead, Rodewald challenged Bennett for Second. Defending Champ and Fast Qualifier Grant Griesbach then began his run through the field. He made his first run into the Top Five on lap eight, then passed Weston Marthaler on the outside for Fourth on lap 10.

With plenty of clean air, Stenjem built a three-second lead over the pack. Griesbach found his way past Bennett on lap 12 and Rodewald on lap 17 for Second, but Stenjem’s lead was very healthy. Despite getting into the clean air Griesbach could not cut the deficit.

Stenjem went on to win with a healthy advantage with Griesbach in Second and Rodewald maintaining the final podium spot in Third.

SPIEROWSKI SURVIVES PRO LATE MELEE FOR WIN

TJ Spierowski missed a major melee on lap eight then cruised to victory after a lengthy clean up in the Fox City’s Towing Pro Late Models.

Scott Wolf led early and paced the field for the first eight laps. Matt Wittman was in pursuit and looked to challenge Wolf for the lead exiting turn four. Contact was made and Wolf went around in front of the field, sending drivers scrambling. The incident collected Wolf, Alex Stumpf, Wayne Posselt, and Jesse Oudenhoven among others.

Spierowski was able to miss the mess and restarted in the lead. On the restart he was able to get away from Jerry Vanderloop and open up a large advantage. One lap after the restart Bryan Monday took Second and Todd Verhagen Third. The race went off without incident after that, and Spierowski sailed to the win.

JOHNSTON AND NEERDAELS SPLIT QUARTER MILE LATE MODEL WINS

Justin Johnston and Henry Neerdaels split the two 15-lap Pete’s Auto WIR Quarter Mile Late Model features.

Johnston took the lead at the drop of the green in the first feature and held off several challenges from Evan Beattie. The win was Johnston’s first.

In the second feature Neerdaels secured an early lead from Mike Reichenberger, who ended up in a dust up with Dan Thomson on lap two. Neerdaels took off on the restart and held off several challenges from Rick Spoo on his way to the win.

VANDENBERG ANOTHER FIRST TIME WINNER IN SUPER STOCKS

For the second week in a row a newcomer to the Novus Auto Glass Super Stock found his way to Victory Lane. This time it was Jake Vandenberg’s turn.

Vandenberg took the lead from the drop of the green and built a large lead late.

Seizing the lead at the start, Vandenberg was
challenged off a lap two restart by veteran Jeff Treml. Treml was unable to make the outside line work, and soon faded into Second. As the laps clicked off Vandenberg built his lead and Treml had to hold onto Second.

CALMES STAYS PERFECT IN SPORT TRUCKS

Mason Calmes kept his perfect streak going by taking the 20-lap Wisconsin Sport Truck feature, overcoming a spin at the start of the feature that wiped out the start.

With the second start, Grant Gilbert took the lead and built an advantage. Brady Vanderloop and Calmes sliced their way through the field and challenged by halfway.

On lap 11 Vanderloop went high to try to take the lead on Gilbert while Calmes went low. The two locked into a battle for the top spot that saw Calmes come out on top on the next lap. He then built up an advantage on Vanderloop and survived a restart to take his fourth straight Sport Truck win at WIR.

BILLY SCHOMMER MAKES LATE RUN TO SIZZLIN’ 4 WIN

Billy Schommer attacked at just the right time to score a win in the 20-lap Roundabout Bar & Grill Sizzlin’ 4 Feature.

Kaiden Volousek led the majority of the feature but felt the heat from Mike Klein through most of the race. Jeremy Czarapata, Schommer and Andy Wiese joined the party late and put on a dazzling final few laps.

Czarapata took the lead on lap 14 only to see Schommer and Wiese go three wide with Volousek behind to take Second and Third. Schommer then went around the outside of Czarapata on lap 18 to secure the lead.

As Schommer settled into the lead, Wiese grabbed Second. With little time, he started to challenge Schommer, but could not make the pass. Schommer took the win with Wiese in Second and Czarapata in Third.

ETHAN BEATTIE WINS WILD FIGURE 8 FEATURE

The Marty Nussbaum Racing Figure 8s were indeed wild and crazy in the 13-lap feature. Jeff Danley took the lead from Mitch Opsahl early and was trailed by Matt Bauer. With just three laps remaining the leaders tangled, handing the lead to Beattie.

Despite having the lead, Beattie had one final challenge to overcome, splitting traffic in the X. The near miss almost sidelined Beattie, but he was able to cruise to this second straight win.

UP NEXT…

The first leg of the Red, White and Blue State Championship Series comes to WIR with the A&W Towing and Recovery Rich Sommers Memorial Red Race presented by Bergstrom Chevrolet Cadillac. The Super Late Models will honor the first FRRC Champion Rich Sommers with a 51-lap feature in homage to the late Kyle Busch. Racing begins at 6:30pm.
