Hidden Acres was founded in 1984 by a group of visionaries who had personally experienced the power of camping ministry. Our founders were a group of men and women who saw the need for a camp to serve the Dallas area where they lived, worked, and ministered. United with a desire to find a place where their church family could enjoy creation, recreation, relationships, and find a place to be transformed by God, they looked for the ideal location. And so the story of Hidden Acres began and the rest is His-story, a story thought of and written by God. The vision of Hidden Acres is to impact lives with Christ’s love and the message of His word. We seek to make a difference in this world by training up leaders with a Christian worldview and servant-leadership skills exemplified in Christ.
