International Women’s Day is a moment to pause and recognize the strength, dedication, and passion of women everywhere. Today, I especially want to recognize the incredible women who are part of our dance community.
To my dancers and dance teachers, you represent so much more than movement on a stage.
You represent discipline.
You represent resilience.
You represent confidence and courage.
Dance teaches us lessons that go far beyond choreography. It teaches commitment, teamwork, perseverance, and the power of believing in ourselves even when something feels difficult. Those lessons shape the kind of women you become, both on and off the dance floor.
Many of you started dancing as little girls, learning your first steps, building friendships, and discovering your voice. Over time, I have watched you grow into strong young women who carry those lessons into every part of your lives.
Some of you are now leaders in your own right. Some are pursuing careers, continuing your education, building families, or mentoring the next generation of dancers. Watching those journeys unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of being part of this community.
To the dance teachers, thank you for the dedication you bring every day. Teaching dance is not just about technique. It is about shaping confidence, encouraging growth, and helping young women discover their strength. The influence you have goes far beyond the studio.
And to every dancer, whether you are just beginning or have been dancing for years, remember that the strength you build through dance stays with you for life.
Dance creates confident women.
Dance builds leaders.
Dance builds community.
Today we celebrate all of you and the powerful women you are becoming.
Happy International Women’s Day. 💜✨
