I’ve painted another watercolor/color pencil of a Marian Cross for the art auction
Each flower has a special meaning . The flowers are goldenrod, pansies, carnations, violets, forget me nots, bleeding hearts, and rosemary.
If you’re in the area, come by for the bazaar and art auction. Proceeds go to the church.

Watercolor/ color pencil still life for my sweet daughter. She loves purple and green and is a romantic. The Outsiders is her favorite book so I had to put that in. It was a true labor of love ❤️

Last week I finished my latest commission for a beautiful Catholic Church in Dickinson, Tx. The purpose was to try to make paintings that resemble stained glass. I am so honored that these paintings will be framed and placed above a relic of the Cross. The Shrine of the True Cross is a beautiful place to visit, especially during this season of Lent and Easter.

Last year I was asked by one of the priests to create a silk painting for the Christmas antependium. It was a wonderful way to get into the true spirit of Christmas. My good friend Rachel does all the sewing for the church. She’s so talented!

20”x14” painting Our Lady of Guadalupe on silk. I have been asked many times over the years if I can paint things other than flowers. My response has always been “Yes, but not people or animals.” I was commissioned to make this painting for a priest to be sewn into his vestments by a dear and talented friend after mass one Sunday. I told her I would give it my best shot, but not to get her hopes up. I have to say, I had so much fun pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Maybe I can paint people after all 🤔

Rainbow parrot tulips painted on 32”x32” silk. This photo is unedited. It really is that colorful! My wonderful sister asked for a silk painting to hang in her house, and specifically wanted rainbow parrot tulips. They are as beautiful and vibrant as she is. #
