The 1900 Building is the finest office/mixed use building in the Kansas City area. The location (Shawnee Mission Parkway & State Line Rd.) and views are superb.

The iconic 1960's gem has recently been restored and expanded to include state of the art performance, conference and event spaces, a cafe/restaurant, roof terrace and LEED Gold certification.

Violinist Noelle Midori Takebe Naito performs her program for the 2026 Long-Thibaud International Competition in Paris, one of the world’s most prestigious violin competitions. Since making her orchestral debut at age nine with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra, she has played Carnegie Hall, in London, Tokyo and more. She now studies with Ben Sayevich here in Kansas City.

Ex-tennis pro Tony Wendice (Ray Milland) has married well, maybe too well. This 1954 thriller was originally shot in 3-D and marked Grace Kelly’s first collaboration with Hitchcock. Watch for a special cameo and keep and eye on Margot’s wardrobe: her dresses start out bright and cheerful, then grow darker as the danger closes in. A true masterclass in suspense!

Music from Cape Breton, Scotland & the 18th Century with the Norman Greenberg Duo

Chris Norman and David Greenberg have been friends of ours for a long time. They first played for us in March 2014, back in the days when our concerts took place in construction sites. They have played at 1900 four times since and have even recorded in Rose Hall.

As the Norman Greenberg Duo, they bring fiddles, pipes, and flutes to music and song from Cape Breton, Acadia, and 18th-century Scotland and the borders, along with original pieces inspired by those traditions.

Chris, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has played flute on more than 40 recordings, including the Oscar-winning soundtrack of Titanic. David is a Baroque violinist and Cape Breton-style fiddler whose playing appears on more than 70 recordings, including over 40 with the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.

Trio Ritter-Bitrán

In celebration of Mexican Independence Month, the Consulate of Mexico in Kansas City and 1900 Building present Trío Ritter-Bitrán, violinist Arón Bitrán, cellist Álvaro Bitrán, and pianist Rodolfo Ritter. Formed in 2023, the ensemble brings together three musicians whose distinctions include the Latin Grammy, Mexico’s National Prize for Sciences and Arts, and the Fine Arts Medal. Their program pairs Manuel M. Ponce and Alfonso de Elías with Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms, an evening of chamber music open to the entire Kansas City community.
